The world’s number one sail boat company, LaserPerformance, demand the best from their leisure and race boats and view top performance as a standard feature. They expect nothing less from their designers either. Design Depot were commissioned to develop their exhibition stands at both the London and Southampton Boat Shows to make sure the world’s number one stayed centre stage.

Prior to the London and Southampton Boat Shows, LaserPerformance had just rebranded from Laser Sailing following an acquisition. Design Depot therefore had to represent several new happenings within the company to the customers at the shows. Design Depot needed to communicate the company’s new global brand whilst at the same time using the stand as a launch platform for the company’s ‘most exciting ever sail boat’ – The Bug. Design Depot provided the company with a multi-functional stand that not only exhibited the new brand succinctly and positively, to its existing customer base and prospective customers, but also delivered show-stopping designs that helped create a buzz about the launch of their new performance sail boat.

In fact Laser Performance were so happy with Design Depot’s creative input that they invited them to design the promotional material for the King of Cowes competition, sponsored by Volkswagen Touareg, held at Cowes Week. This involved materials such as DVDs, marcomms materials and sail graphics for their SB3 class boats. These designs continue to be used by this prestigious event at Cowes each year.
