Oxford Limited is the University of Oxford’s commercial arm with a single-minded objective of raising revenue for the University of Oxford. They promote and manage all of the retail and brand licensing programs that project and protect the University’s famous name. After a successful pitch, in 2004 Design Depot was contracted to provide solid designs and a brand platform for the University’s first foray into the commercial sector. They were briefed to design and produce a brand licensing pack to be sent to interested companies across the world. This would generate awareness of the commercial and marketing ambitions of the University. The finished product saw a stylish and attractive insight into The University of Oxford and its brand vision has attracted lucrative brand licensing propositions.

Design Depot has formed a strong partnership with Oxford Ltd, and has designed many projects for the University. As a part of our ongoing service to Oxford, Design Depot have worked closely with the University in designing and producing a series of point-of-sale items, that bring to the attention of the shoppers and visitors to Oxford, the benefits of purchasing The University of Oxford ‘Official Products’.

Design Depot also designed a range of packaging for a series of Oxford-branded science toys as part of the University’s first foray into the commercial market. These received the University an incredible amount of press interest and resulted in pre-orders before release by famous department store Harrods.
